Interns Needed: Congressman Pat Meehan is looking for enthusiastic and motivated interns to work in his District Office in Springfield, PA. Those interested in learning the inner workings of a fast-paced Congressional office should apply.
Interning with the Congressman is a wonderful opportunity to get a hand on experience and work directly with the constituents of the 7th District. Interns will get the chance to work closely with staff on such things as casework, events, and the list goes on! Communication skills are key as speaking with constituents is something we deal with daily. Not only do interns have the opportunity to help with event planning but we encourage our interns to get involved by attending various events throughout their time with us.
Another valuable aspect of this internship is networking! Our internship program allows individuals to work with officials/agencies/organizations on the Federal, State, and local level. Every day is different which provides an opportunity for continued learning and growth.
Internship responsibilities include but at not limited to communication daily with constituents, working in tandem with staffer on casework in your area of interest, drafting on Congressional correspondence, assisting with event planning/prepping, and attending Congressional events throughout the District
